Is mehendi good for skin?

I always used to wonder is mehendi good for my skin? Does it affect my skin or it benefits me? Later i came to know about it. Mehendi is the traditional art of painting hands and body parts with a paste made of powder, dried leaves of henna plant(mehendi) (botanical name; lawsonia inermis). Mehendi is almost organic and it is beneficial for our skin.

Mehendi is painted on women's hand during wedding, teej festival and on the month of shrawan by hindu women to symbolize joy, beauty, cultural and spiritual awakening. Actually they are doing it good. They are caring their skins. some benefits of mehendi on skin are listed below;

1.It is beneficial during heat stroke. It absorbs excess heat from the body and makes you feel better.

2.It is also considered as antiseptic for fungal and bacterial skin infections.

3. It prevent too much stress because it cools the body and keeps the hand away from becoming stressed.

4. It relieves headache, protect the skin, reduce inflammation and speed up healing.

5. It is also beneficial for curing skin diseases. Ayurvedic system use henna leaves for inflammation, swelling etc
